“Venus” is a series I am currently working on. The theme of shame and femininity has been on my mind for a long time. Questions like: Why are female genitals called in the German language, Schambein, Schamlippen and Schamhaar? What does that do to us? As individuals and as society? Can we find other terms, sensual terms? – So I’m interested in clarifying or becoming clear about the constructs, in order to then deconstruct and dissolve them.
